Case Study: Creating Accessibility Training for Faculty and Staff

This presentation looks at the steps that went into creating an accessibility training for the University of Rochester, including:

  • Why we decided to create and implemented the training.
  • Who the training was created for.
  • Deciding what content to include or exclude.
  • What sources were used to create the content.

This presentation will also include a discussion of how the training was received by attendees, what follow-up was done after the presentation, and recommendations for how to get started on implementing their own training. Attendees will also receive a copy of the PowerPoint used in the training as a stepping stone to build their own training off of.
