Higher education marketing and communications teams often face the challenge of quickly launching new campaigns, generating leads for student recruitment and managing numerous websites with diverse marketing integrations. And with so many CMS options available, finding the right fit is essential.
Drupal has been a trusted platform for building out websites for universities and colleges. In this session, I’ll present a new Drupal product designed for higher ed marketing and content teams. This open source foundation CMS is designed to meet many of the institutional requirements of marketing and content teams in the higher ed context. It will enable easy sharing of best practices within institutions or even across the larger academic community. For example, soon you will be able to add a publications “recipe” to your website and share it with another department to install it on their website, saving time and resources by only having to create it once and supporting a more consistent experience across campus. The perspectives of many organizations, designers, developers and content editors from around the world have gone into the development, so it provides smart defaults that have been well-vetted, but can also be easily changed.
In the session, you’ll learn:
- The roadmap for this new Drupal product is and what you will be able to do with it.
- How recipes will allow for easy sharing between teams.
- How open source development fosters inclusivity.
- Behind-the-scenes insights into how the product was developed.
