Sometimes, it’s challenging at best (and painful at worst) to carry a good conversation. It’s harder still to have a public and relevant conversation that elevates your institution in meaningful ways. And how are you supposed to further showcase your campus community when your schedule is already piled high with to-dos and tasks?
Louisiana Tech University’s official podcast, Beyond 1894, has entered its fourth year. Even amidst growth and a rising need for exposure of the brand, one person on an already-small team is now responsible for the majority of podcasting duties.
It’s easier than you may think to plan, prepare, publish, post and promote a university-wide podcast on your own. This session will cover efficient ways to bring out your confident inner podcast host, providing some tips for conversation topics and question structure, prospective guest selection, audio editing, relationship building and more.
Starting a podcast or helping an established podcast evolve can and should be fun, relaxed and productive for all parties, even if your party is a party of one.
