From zero to 100 without a crash — can you really move fast and break things when it’s time for a redesign?

Rolling out a new site and CMS is not as scary as it seems. In November 2019, Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) and Hannon Hill embarked on a multi-phased project that involved the implementation of newly designed web templates in Cascade CMS, followed by content migration, going live, and additional functional iterations.

In this session, Greg Lopez, MATC’s Web Design Coordinator, and Graham Lewis, Hannon Hill’s Senior Sales Engineer, walk you through the process, reveal lessons learned, and share best practices when undertaking a dual rollout.

Lopez will reveal insights into the design process and explain how he and the Hannon Hill team planned and executed how the content for each region on each template should be managed.

The presenters will also discuss considerations for balancing proper web governance with giving content authors enough flexibility and autonomy to ensure adoption.

Other topics include content migration, user training, and expanding functionality through integrations and modules.
