Drupal and Microsoft Azure together in harmony

Microsoft Azure is the environment of choice for many higher ed institutions. It provides a lot of really great services to remove the burden of building web sites that are both easy to deploy and scale well.

Drupal is the content management system of choice for an even greater number of higher ed institutions. Together the two can be a great combination at a much lower price point than the “premium” Drupal hosting providers, but only if you set things up right. I will walk you through the caveats and pain points of setting up a Drupal development environment in Windows with WSL and building/configuring a fast and scalable Azure web app environment.
